From a residential building to a modern working environment

The Securatek project was a metamorphosis par excellence – a transformation from a residential building to a modern working environment with KNX building automation. This involved a complete renovation, including roof conversion and modern refurbishment – both technically and in terms of design. Our site manager Marco Schäfer was happy to take on this challenge. True to the motto ‘Nothing is impossible’, coneon set to work and achieved an impressive result. During the planning phase, the various implementation options were compared and agreed upon with the customer in terms of costs and benefits. Our customer felt understood and was able to make flexible decisions about the direction of the project even during the construction phase.

Securatek GmbH & Co. KG has been an expert in floor protection, floor reinforcement and safety since 2007. This rapidly expanding business required an expansion of office and storage space, as well as the necessary relocation of other divisions of the company. Coneon managed the entire project as general contractor, from the initial concept to the fit-out and recommissioning. Coneon provided the following services for the Securatek project:

• THINK: Consultations and test fits of the space
• DESIGN: Office planning and design of customised furniture with selection of surfaces/materials, including 3D visualisations
• BUILD: Coordination of all trades involved in the shell construction, façade, technical fit-out and general fit-out as general contractor
• INTERIOR: Delivery and installation of kitchen, bathroom and office furniture

• The new roof structure
• The technical refurbishment in general, as no documentation was available.
• The integration of modern refurbishment without affecting the aesthetics and history of the existing building.
